QI Committee Chair

Gabriela Vazquez, PhD, MS, directs the Research Methodology Group at HealthPartners Institute and is affiliated with the Pregnancy and Child Health Research Center. I earned my PhD in Epidemiology and master’s degree in Biostatistics from the University of Minnesota. My research focuses on cardiovascular epidemiology; the safety and effectiveness of vaccines and medications during pregnancy; and comparative analyses of observational data.

My community engagement efforts to improve access to health care include partnering with Latino community organizations to communicate the benefits of vaccination and serving on the Open Cities Health Center Board and its Quality Improvement Committee. Outside of work, I enjoy swimming, biking, and going to the movies.
